I did not know what freedom cost,
And now I begin to wish I had known in the first place.
America, Who Are You Now? is a patriotic poetry collection that praises the greatest nation in the world while observing areas that could be improved. It is as well an urgent call to action, emphasizing the critical danger that American democracy is currently in, asking Patriots alike to defend this delicate freedom we have.
At times, there is hope. But in others, hope may seem lost. It is these moments of darkness that we must light a candle and be a voice to the voiceless. It is in these moments that we must not let go of hope, and become a beacon of hope for those lost.
It is a time to stand up for what America represents, and that is a land of freedom, a refuge for the lost, a band of brave individuals, and a place of goodwill.
